This past July, Lynette's Lab, Allie, past away after a very unneccesary surgery. She and her family are in the process of getting a new puppy, their Sweet Pea Stamps mascot/ shop watch dog, in two weeks, out of state. They have been debating names for her, she is a Puggle and will only get 15-20 pounds.
Now Lynette is offering a contest. This contest runs through Sunday, simply post in the comment section of the sweetpea blog (click the link) what you think would be a good name for her. Once they choose, if there is more than one that suggests the same name, they will draw a winner. The winner will win a 10 ct. grab bag from sweetpea stamps.
Isn't she the cutest thing you've ever seen? I hope you're more creative than m because I can't come up with anything!
There's an offer from Lynette valid only during the weekend 18-19 sept:

Simon says stamp are having a bloghop and since I'm a fan of bloghops and SSS I decided to join. Unfortunately my cardmaking genie is on vacation, but I tried as much as I could. It's my first or second Christmas card of the year. I gave it a go to destress the edges again as I've learned it gives depth.
I made it with a couple of challenges in mind:
A spoon full of sugar - Animal
Colour create - Red, gold and white/cream
Cute card thursday - Play on words (deEr friend)
I love promarkers - Transport
Simon says stamp - Christmas
Sketch saturday - Sketch (mirrored)
Whiff of joy - Layers

I haven't felt like playing with paper lately, but rather with other materials and here's one where I used my sweetpea stamps.
I have made custom made sweetpea buttons. I've used nestabilities to cut out shapes in shrink plastic. I stamped with black staz on ink and set it aside to dry a while. When the ink was dry I coloured the images with oil pencils. Make sure to punch holes before you shrink the plastic. After you have shrunk them - either using a heatgun or oven - let it cool for a little while and ink the edges with a silver pen.
You can colour it to fit any piece of clothing you want and the best part: you will never have to change all the buttons because you lost one and didn't have any extra.
Stamps I have used:
pick a pumpkin plate 53
time flies, plate 38
red hearts, plate 28
